Today on Flashpoints: We’ll have a special report one year after U.S supported Bahraini security forces slaughtered pro-democracy activists, attacked doctors who were trying to help the wounded and opened up torture chambers in hospitals. We’ll speak to Kathy Kelly in Dubai, where she ended up after she was prevented from entering Bahrain. And we’ll also be joined by Medea Benjamin in Bahrain and one of the few remaining activists who managed to stay there without being deported or arrested. And we’ll feature excerpts from our recent event with Greg Palast based on his hard-hitting investigative book Vulture’s Picnic.

  • Musicians!!

We're searching for great new music produced by independent musicians and members of our global audience, so that we can be as non-corporate and copyright-free as possible. All genres -- from blues to electronica to world beats -- welcome!

We like smart, political and well-produced music -- and are especially in search of possible new theme instrumentals. Please send it to Flashpoints, c/o KPFA, 1929 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA 94704, or email your Mp3s at flashpointsproducer@gmail.com with full descriptions and credits.
