FPToday on Flashpoints: We talk with an alderman in St. Louis County, Missouri about protest following the recent killing of yet another young black man by police in this country, 18 year old Michael Brown. Next, we asked a question: Did the U.S. government really have to drop the second atomic bomb on Nagasaki 69 years ago? Then, with president Obama authorizing new bombing raids in Iraq and with Republicans calling for boots on the ground, it’s only fitting that we look at how much the war in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost. Finally, we go to London, England to talk about massive protests over the weekend supporting the Palestinian people and condemning Israel for “Operation: Protective Edge” in Gaza.
