Today on flashpoints opponents of mountain top removal mining are on the march in Appalachia: Hundreds of activists are now walking the route that working people marched 90 years ago in a major action against the coal industry. Also we’ll have an update on the battle to save Gangjeong Village on the Island of Jeju and its fragile ecosystem from a major US supported naval base. Also a victory for people’s control and access to the media as AT&T is sent back to the drawing board on its attempt to buy T-mobile. And the Southern Poverty Law Firm brings a lawsuit against schools in Jackson, Mississippi for shackling their students to poles as a part of a disciplinary process. All this straight ahead on flashpoints I’m Dennis Bernstein, stay tuned.
