Today on Flashpoints we’ll report on the implementation of draconian budget cuts in the California higher education system. We’ll speak to Jennifer Tucker, a graduate student and student activist at UC Berkeley about the cuts. In the context of fighting for student rights and against the cuts we’ll hear a poem that honors Rosa Parks on the 56th anniversary of her stand against segregated bussing in Montgomery, Alabama. And we’ll feature a dialogue on the importance of resisting massive budget cuts to education. I’m Dennis Bernstein all this straight ahead on flashpoints stay tuned.
