Today on Flashpoints, well known actors and activists called for a major protest in Washington DC to occupy the Justice Department. The protest is both a call to free Mumia Abu Jamal and to call attention to the criminal and racist injustice system. We’ll feature an in-depth background on the case and status regarding Mumia Abu-Jamal as well as the various aspects of the continuing injustices handed out by the system. Also 2,000 students take to the streets in a pledge not to do business with Bank of America. And we’ll have an update on the case of KPFA producer and contributor Jose Alegren Gutiérrez.
