We continue our multi-part series on the anatomy of a financial coup d’etat, on a day when new revelations show that Goldman Sachs secretly bet on the US housing crash; also, environmentalists win a major victory in Oregon, in reversing a draconian law that restrained peaceful environmental activists from protesting the destruction of land and wildlife; plus, how The Yes Men Fix The World, an interview with corporate prankster Andy Bichlbaum of the Yes Men and Antonia Juhasz of Global Exchange’s Chevron Program; and the Knight Report.

ZELAYA OF HONDURAS —- TOOL OF THE EMPIRE USA?
BIG FACTS
A. All of President Zelaya’s actions do more harm than good toward the social democracy movement that Venezuela is now spear-heading throughout the Americas.
B. Venezuela has the largest oil reserves on earth, and is giving away its oil at below cost to spread social democracy. This makes Venezuela the greatest threat to Empire USA and its quest for world dominance.
C. The CIA coup dictatorship could have been stopped by President Obama by one quick phone call to the rich nobility of Honduras.
LITTLE FACTS
(1) For 200 years Honduras has been ruled by ten kings, ten rich nobility families, and they are the most brutal, oppressive and dictatorial in all of Central and South America. Since Honduras was taken away from Spain 80% of the land has always belonged to these ten rich and noble families.
(2) All during the four month coup the rich nobility of Honduras has advanced the lie that if only Zelaya had informed them in advance of his bold actions to establish social democracy, they would have been more than willing to work out a compromise beneficial to both the rich and the poor. A big lie that Zelaya knew would be used against him, yet all of his bold actions were taken without any consultation with friend of foe. Surely this is why Secretary of State Clinton called Zelaya, “reckless.”
(3) Surely raising minimum wage 60% was far too much to quick and would cause a state of war with the rich.
(4) Surely firing one of the richest and most powerful generals in Honduras would cause a state of war with the military.
(5) Surely the issue of a new democratic Constitution to replace the dictatorship Manifesto created after a coup in 1982, surely this should have been resolved by a vote of the people in November.
(6) Their involvement was so obvious that the U.S. had to quickly admit that the coup was know well in advance. A classic CIA coup from start to finish, even to the point of the U.S. base in Honduras used to ship Zelaya out of the country.
(7) Zelaya agreeing to bargain a tradeoff with the coup leaders was doomed to disaster. Only by the U.S. stopping the funds being handed over to the coup leader could Zelaya return to power. Nothing to be gained by negotiation surely, and every aspect of this coup was expertly designed to terrify all the presidents in the Americas into submission to the all-mighty Empire USA.
