Today on a special edition of Flashpoints, Editor and co-founder of the Electronic Intifada, Ali Abunimah, delivers the keynote speech last weekend at the National Campus Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Conference at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts; Abunimah lays out the strategies and the tactics of the growing international movement against Israeli apartheid policies in Palestine.

In above recording Ali begins with excellent history starting in 1948,and then brings us up-to-date on the BBS movement to boycott products made by a dictator state.
I liked it. So much useful material. I read with great interest.
Good speech, except for the omission which makes it merely platitudinous.
To whom was the Balfour Declaration addressed to? Has that name disappeared from the world? If so, the omission is irrelevent and Ali Abunimah is right on the mark. If that name is the power behind the impetus for world government, if it is the real power behind Reform Judaism, which became the bedrock for Zionism, if it is the financier of the World Zionist Federation and all its sister subsidiaries throuhout the ages under different names, and if it is the real power that props up Israel, the same power which runs all the world’s private central banks, this omission in this speech makes its prescription yet another red herring.
BDS cannot hurt the Zionist enterprise, unlike South Africa, because the world’s king-makers and power-wielders who control all the front-faces and political errand boys, are behind it. The world saw their naked power just last October when the US Congress despite a vast majority of the American public being against the banksters’ bailout bill, still went through!
